STANDARD SCALES

STANDARD SCALES

  1. T-SCORES or T-SCALE
T-scores are standardized scores on each dimension for each type. A score of 50 represents the mean. A difference of 10 from the mean indicates a difference of one standard deviation. Thus, a score of 60 is one standard deviation above the mean, while a score of 30 is two standard deviations below the mean.
  1. HULL SCALE or 7 SIGMA SCALE
Hull scales are standardized scores on each dimension for each type. A score of 50 represents the mean. A difference of 10 from the mean indicates a difference of 0.7 standard deviation. Thus, a score of 60 is 0.7 standard deviation (0.7xSD) above the mean, while a score of 30 is 2.1 standard deviations (2.lxSD) below the mean.
  1. 6 SIGMA SCALE
6 sigma scales are standardized scores on each dimension for each type. A score of 50 represents the mean. A difference of 10 from the mean indicates a difference of 0.6 standard deviation. Thus, a score of 60 is 0.6 standard deviation (0.6xSD) above the mean, while a score of 30 is 1.8 standard deviations (1.8xSD) below the mean.
